Join College of Visual and Performing Arts alumna Kenge BaNikongo (BA, Theater, BA Film and Video Studies, 2021) for a screening of “Sight”, the pilot episode of her original comedy-drama, Wingz. Wingz explores the complexities of family, identity, and a rare fairy ability that upends everyday life.

A comedy-drama television series about fairies in the modern world, “Wingz” centers on a second-generation fairy grappling with the impacts of her magical abilities on her and her family as they navigate everyday life. The script explores the complexities of family and identity within the immigrant experience through a new lens, while incorporating a lighthearted element of fantasy.

Following the screening, Kenge will participate in a question-and-answer session with the audience, moderated by Professor Ben Steger of the Film and Video Studies Program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

This event showcases BaNikongo’s work as a writer, director, and producer, partly funded by BaNikongo’s win of the 2026 Young Alumni Commissioning Award from George Mason’s College of Visual and Performing Arts Young Alumni Commissioning Project.
